Lees Primary School
Lees Primary School is a one-form entry school and was a founding member of Brontë Academy Trust. Lees is a very welcoming place to be. It is one of the smaller schools within the Trust, where children are happy, confident and proud to attend. It is a place where pupil welfare and learning is always put first by all staff.
Lees operates the SCARF model (Safety, Caring, Achievement, Resilience and Friendship), which is far-reaching and supports all teaching at the school. Children receive recognition and rewards for actions and achievements within these areas.
'We believe in putting children first'
James Travers
Headteacher
I became Head at Oldfield when it joined our Trust in 2019. Prior to that I was at Oakworth for many years. In 2021 I joined Lees as Headteacher there too! I have been part of the Trust since it first formed. It is a wonderful organisation at the heart of the local community. It offers families a choice of everything, with the shared common goal of a top quality education. We put our children first in every decision we make. Having children at the core is our strength, our unique advantage point and what our organisation is built upon. I am extremely proud of Brontë's legacy.
