Oakworth Primary School
Oakworth Primary School is a two-form entry school and was a founding member of Brontë Academy Trust. We have high expectations of our pupils and we ensure that learning is tailored to bring out the best in all of our children, in whatever areas they enjoy and excel in. At Oakworth, our 'Superpowers' (respect, resilience, teamwork, kindness, discovery and challenge) underpin everything we do. We are fiercely proud of our happy, thriving and kind children.
'We believe in learning together and growing together.'
Ed Whitehead
Headteacher
I became ‘Head’ of Oakworth at Easter 2021 after nearly 4 years ‘across the valley’ at Lees.
As a staff we strongly believe our website reflects our school, demonstrating how we put children at the centre of all the decisions we make. We are always looking for additional ways we can be more outward facing, supporting our own and the wider community.
Families and schools working together as a partnership in the best interests of a child is always the goal and one we will always aspire to.
