Oldfield Primary School
Oldfield Primary School is the smallest school in Bradford and joined Brontë Academy Trust in 2019. Since joining the Trust, Oldfield has thrived.
With small mixed-year group class sizes, Oldfield feels like a family. Pupils proudly look out for one another and help each other to learn and teaching staff are able to spend more time with each individual. Oldfield operates the SCARF model (Safety, Caring, Achievement, Resilience and Friendship), which is far-reaching and supports all teaching at the school. Children receive recognition and rewards for actions and achievements within these areas.
An idyllic rural setting, combined with small class sizes and excellent teaching makes Oldfield a truly unique place for children to learn.
'We believe in putting children first'
James Travers
Headteacher
I became Head at Oldfield when it joined our Trust in 2019. Prior to that I was at Oakworth for many years. In 2021 I joined Lees as Headteacher there too! I have been part of the Trust since it first formed. It is a wonderful organisation at the heart of the local community. It offers families a choice of everything, with the shared common goal of a top quality education. We put our children first in every decision we make. Having children at the core is our strength, our unique advantage point and what our organisation is built upon. I am extremely proud of Brontë's legacy.
